Quest LE 3.5s

  • CVT transmission
  • 100,400 miles

Purchased the vehicle with a Nissan Security +Plus Gold Preferred (VSC) Vehicle Service Contract 84 months/120,000 miles.

The warranty is still good till March 2020 or 120,000.

Today is February 4, 2019, our vehicle has 100,600 miles, our vehicle needs a new transmission at a cost of $4500.00 AND a rental vehicle while our van is being repaired, however, Nissan Extended Services North America or the (NESNA) is refusing to pay for the repairs!!! Stating a clause in the VSC!

Our vehicle was NOT and HAS NOT been in an accident! We take excellent care and all proper maintenance has been performed on this vehicle! Therefore, the "clause in the VSC they are claiming is cause for them to deny payment for the repairs does NOT apply in this case and the warranty is solely responsible for payment of repairs of our transmission which is covered under the VSC!

Quest SL 3.5L

  • CVT transmission
  • 75,441 miles

Jerking motion: Sudden twitching and oscillating motion of acceleration and deceleration. After Driving normally for about 10~30 mins, it happens at about 2000 rpm ~ 2500 rpm on uphill (with accelerator gentry pressed down). It stops when I release the accelerator, when the engine comes down to below 2000 rpm. It is highly disturbing and dentures experience, especially when it happens on Taconic NY State Park-way (winding up and down road at 55 mph speed limit).

Quest S

  • Automatic transmission
  • 86,000 miles

After stepping on the accelerator at a red light, our van moved forward a tad, and then just stopped (as if it were in neutral). Eventually it made a huge JOLT and started moving again. This happened two other times in the same trip. Likely an issue with the transmission
