My 2009 Nissan Rogue SL's passenger airbag light came on. I reset it too many times. I found this place and it worked:

Update from Dec 31, 2019: I have been using airbag360 on my 2009 Rogue SL for 3 weeks and passenger light does not come on. It work and it will pass a Maine vehicle inspection.

Update from Jan 18, 2020: I've been using airbag360 and it works. I've been using for 3 weeks now - it shut the air bar light off and the airbag is on (passing Maine inspection).

Nissan used to be a good company to purchase a car from. A good reliable car. Now this airbag issue - spending over $2000 to fix a safety problem with the car - is ridiculous. Nissan recalled the 2008 and the 2010 Rogue for the same issues this car is having. Come on, they have to be kidding. A seat sensor broke in my 2009 Rogue just like many other in the country. What did they do different in 2008 and 2010 that made 2009 not an issue? Nothing... They just did not get enough complaints yet. But now the car is 11 years old. They come back with the comment that the vehicle is too old to repair. I will fix the car, but I will be dammed if Nissan is making a profit on it. Get with the program Nissan. I think a class action is warranted in this case.

Warning lamp for passenger airbag in drivers instrument panel lit and will not go off. I can not put my kids in the car with this problem. That is a safety issue that is well known by Nissan.

the airbag light came on, we had problem diagnosed by Nissan dealer costing us 150 dollars just for them to hook car up to a machine for 2 seconds to diagnose problem.

Dealer said they cannot guarantee that the airbag will deploy if we are in an accident and we should replace the seat costing us another 2000 dollars plus tax.

Nissan has recalled the same problems in the rogue for almost 10 years except for the 2009. I don't understand how Nissan can recall the 2008 and 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014 and so on yet not the Nissan rogue 2009..... Nissan knows this is a problem and I am sure they did not change suppliers for just that one year.....so why is the Nissan rogue 2009 not being recalled and fixed. this is not fair. I have had many problems with Nissan rouge. I also had the driver door fixed the beginning of this year because it would not open from the outside....it cost me over 300 dollars and now...10 months later...I have the same problem. why is this not recalled as I have been looking up the problem and it is a common problem with Nissan rouge. NISSAN...STEP UP AND FIX THE PROBLEMS WITH YOUR CARS. IT IS UNSAFE AND UNFAIR.

Like others, the passenger (supplemental) air bag light came on a few days ago. I haven't gone to the dealer, and reluctant to pay $2000 as others have mentioned it costs. Because my tire pressure sensors have also been going bad (2 so far in the last month), I went to the place where I got my tires to have them replaced.

They said they can fix the air bag sensor by taking out the seat, identifying which of the 2 sensors is bad, and replacing it. I don't know the cost. I think I have to fix it, especially if (1) someone is in the seat and I have an accident, and (2) if I sell the car. Any other ideas or suggestions other than just sucking it up and fixing it?

Airbag light came on. Nissan did diagnosis but no problem was uncovered. The only option was to replace the airbag. How does an airbag system never used, with no problems uncovered result in the entire airbag needing replacement at a cost of $2700

Rogue 4.0L

  • Automatic transmission
  • 120,000 miles

My Passenger Airbag notification light suddenly came on one day while driving along with the blinking red air bag light on my dash board. This is sooooo annoying. I have been doing some research online and I feel that this year Rogue needs to be recalled since there must be an issue with this year. I am not willing to pay $2000 + for this repair.
