I have had this car for only a couple months and is has been nothing but problems with this car. I have my battery, starter, and battery terminals change 3 times and no one seems to can figure out why i am have such a problem with those things because they say my alternator is not the problem. Now my ac compressor is another added problem to the list. Throw the whole car away!

Rogue 4 cyl

  • CVT transmission
  • 115,000 miles

I bought this Nissan Rogue with 19,668 in 2014 from Palmetto 57 Nissan in Miami, FL. I had to replace the radio on two occasions, the power locks don't lock automatically, been doing manually for three years, and worst thing my compressor has gone out four in two years. Most recently in July of 2019 for the fourth time. My mechanic of trust has told me the only thing he recommends is changing the entire air conditioning system. I am desperate and DO NOT BUY A CAR FROM PALMETTO 57 NISSAN they have screwed me royally. I service my car, I pamper it and still have problems. They sold me a lemon.

I WAS RIDING TO MONROE LA AND ALL OF A SUDDEN MY A/C STARTED BLOWING OUT HOT AIR. IT HAS NOT WORKED SINCE. I AM NOT ABLE TO DO THE REPAIRS. I PURCHASED THIS VEHICLE IN MACH OF 2014 AND THE A/C SHOULD NOT BE OUT THIS SOON. THE SECOND VEHICLE THAT I HAVE BROUGHT FROM THE NISSAN PLACE IN MONROE . THE SAME PROBLEM OCCURRED WITH A 2009 KIA RONDO. I AM NOT HAPPY WITH THIS PROBLEM . NISSAN SHOULD DO THE REPAIRS. I HAVE HAD 4 PROBLEMS WITH MY ROGUE SINCE I PURCHASED THIS VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE WAS A USED PROMOTION VEHICLE. NO ONE SHOULD BE HAVING THESE KIND OF PROBLEMS IN 2 YEARS OF BUYING A VEHICLE.

Rogue LS 4 cyl

  • Automatic transmission
  • 65,874 miles

I purchased our 2011 Nissan Rogue as a certified used car from Tim Dahle Nissan in Salt Lake City in June of 2016. On June 7, 2017 the air conditioner stopped working. I had the problem diagnosed today 6/19/17 am I am told that the air conditioning compressor has gone out. We only have a little over 65,000 miles on this vehicle and have driven it for about 15,000 miles since purchase. The shop I took it too quoted $1600 to repair. I can't believe that the compressor would fail after 6 years and only 65,000 miles. From looking at this site, it appears to be a common problem. For right now we will be driving with all four windows down. $1600 $!*&#@!!!?

Rogue SV V4

  • Automatic transmission
  • 87,000 miles

I bought this 2011 Rogue in Feb 2013. A few months (2017) ago I started having issues with compressor. I can use the heater but not the AC. I have owned nothing but Nissans since 1987 and have never had a compressor problem. At 6 years old and under 100,000 miles I should not have this problem. My previous Nissans were ran up to 260,000 miles before trade in or replaced and I never had a compressor problem. I live in E TN and we have a lot of humidity and hot summers. Now I'm finding out the warranty does not cover and can't afford repair.

I don't think a 4 year old car should have to have the AC compressor go out.

Rogue LS

  • Automatic transmission
  • 35,769 miles

I purchased a certified used 2011 Nissan Rogue.

Two months into ownership, the compressor went out and the air conditioning no longer works. I thought there was a 7-year/100,000 warranty that came with the car - turns out that the warranty is pretty limited and does not cover the compressor.

I'm in a bind because it's very difficult to get a used compressor for this car - it's just too new. I'm especially upset because the car hasn't even hit 36,000 miles yet - it ran out of the standard warranty by time, not miles.

My independent mechanic is flabbergasted that Nissan won't help with this as I'm a repeat buyer at this dealership.

I know it doesn't sound like a big deal, but try living in California's Central Valley in the summer without A/C in your car - it renders the car virtually unusable during most of the day.
