When I first got my Rouge, which I love, there has be a strange metallic noise when I apply my brakes. It sounds like the brake bracket or whatever moves when the brakes are applied is moving, creating the metallic sound. The metallic sound and applying the brakes happen at the same time. You can hear the brakes grinding on the rotor and the brakes squeal all the time, even after new brakes and rotor. So, in a nut shell, the front brakes have always sucked and no one would look deeper into this issue.

I have taken it to Nissan for all my oil change with full service. I have mentioned said noise EVERY time and they always say, it is ok. So, with 3000 mi hearing the front brake system failing, they tell me your front brakes are shot and should be replaced asap. Really, it went from little wear on the rotor to needs changed asap.

My Rouge stop's when I wants it to, but I can feel and hear something is out of whack. It should have been addressed when I first started to, mentioned it. (under 2000 mi) What it sounds is not the brakes themselves, but it is whatever it attaches to, not that I am a professional.

Now 70,000 miles in, no warranty left and who know how much the cost will be to have the manufacture defect fixed. My Rouge can't be the only one having this issue. My Rouge is starting to feel like an old truck when everything else on it looks brand new. I want my Rouge fixed dang it, and I don't want to be the one to pay for it.

Oh, and I bought my first Rouge in 2013. My wife and I went in to look for a new car for her, before you know it, we bought two that day, 2014 Rouge and 2015 Altima, both loaded with every possible accessories’ available. We are loyal Nissan owners and will buy our future vehicles at Nissan, only if we can resolve this issue in a nice way.

The Altima is great, never an issue other than rude car door dings. The Rouge, ugg.
