My airbag sensor started flashing for no reason. With estimated repairs at $6000, I don-??t understand why there isn-??t a recall. I see that this is an ongoing problem for Rogues/Rogue Selects.

Passenger seat occupant sensor co troller and drivers side rear airbag failed and need to be replaced. Airbag light remained on and faults diagnosed by Nissan service. Failed sensors mean airbag likely May not deploy in the event of impact. Found article that there was a recall on this for this vehicle in 2016 but this sites say no recall. This is over $6000 in repairs for product failure

The occupant t sensor (OCS) is faulty, and keeps flashing nonstop for months. My passengers are unsafe. The dealer confirms the problem wants to charge $1,500, but I see it is a recurring problem. However, even though my vehicle is within the range of vehicles recalled (Rogue 2014 through 2017), my vin # is not showing a recall, and I would like to know why it was not included - as it should be. Please be advised that it might have to do with the model designation as "Rogue Select" instead of "Rogue". The Rogue Select is essentially the same vehicle as the 2014 Rogue, they just renamed it adding "Select" when they introduced the new design in 2015 because they could not have two vehicles with the same name. Please investigate.

Drove my car normally to work and home that day. Upon starting it up in the evening, the red airbag light turned on and began flashing as soon as the key was in the ignition. I read the manual, tried to reset the warning light by unhooking the battery. Airbag light continues to flash on the drivers side. The owners' manual says this means the airbag is faulty and will not deploy in a crash. This vehicle has NEVER had the airbags deploy or been in a crash significant enough for the airbags to deploy. I called the local dealership on 2/16/23 and they reported no recalls. They said it is probably a sensor not under warranty and repairs would be $2000. I do not have the money to have this repaired. My life safety is at risk.

The airbag light comes on in the car screen, it was taken for inspection, as stated in the attached invoice and they told us that the entire airbag system had to be changed, it should be noted that the vehicle has never had no accident and we are worried because if we were to have an accident the airbags would not work. Thanks for your help.

Driver Airbag light started flashing. According to the vehicle manufacturer's manual, this indicator means the drivers' airbag will NOT deploy. The battery was unplugged and left in an attempt to reset. When key turned in ignition, the airbag light immediately started flashing again. I am the only owner of this vehicle. I bought it brand new and it has never been in an accident where the airbags have deployed. The vehicle has been garage kept for the duration of my ownership. I have not had any water damage, and I have not had any other electrical issues so far.

The passenger airbag is faulty, the airbag will now not deploy in the case of a collision. Initially before the airbag light was on, the sensor would classify the seat as empty when it wasn't, similar to one of the existing recalls Nissan has on Rogues, that this VIN is not included in. Now it has progressed where the SRS air bag light flickers on regardless of resetting it. This is a safety hazard for my dogs and spouse that go on the passenger front seat.

My horn stopped working and my airbag light came on. Now I don-€™t know if my airbag is going to randomly deploy. The dealership wants more than $600 to fix this faulty part and there are several forums suggesting that this is a known problem. My Airbag sensor light is flashing and I took it to Nissan alhambra. They stated that the ECU and OCS sensor is defected and needs to be replaced. However they can attempt to repair it for 1,890 but it may or may not fix the issue and by tampering with it may cause airbags to deploy and cause bigger problem. It's very unfortunate that I took it to the dealer and they were not able to help. According to KBB and Nhtsa my 2015 nissan rogue is one of the models that have been recalled. I am driving a Nissan and uncertain if my airbags will protect me in an emergency.

The airbag light turns on despite not having a passenger seated or anything on the seat. I-€™ve never gotten into a crash either and when I took my car to Jiffy Lube to run a diagnostic the code B0020 past came up. From what I read online this is a common sensor issue. Nissan should do a recall and fix this.

While driving on I-95, my Nissan Rogue Select 2015 was cruising at the speed limit of 70 mph when, all of a sudden, the speed had begun to drop to 65-50 mph. I pressed the gas pedal to accelerate, but the car wouldn't go past 65mph. Over a period of time, I began to hear a strange high pitch whining sound. Later, the speed had dropped as low as 40 mph, I switched lanes, and stopped on the shoulder of the highway. As I parked my car, I smelled the odor of the transmission fluid. As I parked, I began to read up about the transmission issue on the owner's manual as well as online. I later found out that the transmission, CVT transmission, had entered a mode called, "limp-mode" wherein the car limits the speed to a safe driving speed (this case it was 65mph) in order to prevent a transmission overheat. Not to mention, I noticed that my Rogue dashboard shows an air bag light flashing, something that happened recently. My family and I almost got into an accident with the transmission on limp mode. A recent bulletin from Nissan stated the issue with the CVT transmission. We had gone to Valvoline and they said that the transmission needed a tune-up. No lamps or indicators showed that the transmission was in limp-mode. The only lamp that was flashing was for the air bag ( there was a recall about that.)
