The contact owns a 2015 Ford Explorer. The contact stated that the front driver-€™s side door trim panel had detached. Additionally, the contact stated that the molding surrounding the windshield was detaching. The contact stated that she was concerned that the windshield may detach while driving. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic who informed the contact that he could not determine the cause of the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and referred to the NHTSA Hotline. The failure mileage was approximately 50,000.
