I drove my car home, turned it off, went into my house to change, went to leave approximately 30 min later and the car wouldn-€™t start. Brought to Nissan dealership. Who indicated that multiple u1000 codes stored due to no communication with ecm. Burning smell from ecm connector and fans on high. Required ecm. They then further stated ipdm fuses had blackened, ipdm inoper. The ecm was covered by warranty but the ipdm was not covered. Blackening seems to be indicative of burning.

We have a 2016 Nissan Rogue that is under the Recall ID. 22V-024. We have the water damage and that caused the wiring harness to malfunction. Nissan Dealership fixed the Harness problem but not fix the cause of this happening. We are getting water seeping up from the Drivers side floor. I Shop Vac and use a fan to dry it out but the water returns. On the recall letter from Nissan it states in Bold lettering #1 " Please stop driving your vehicle immediately and call Nissan." #2 "Park your vehicles outdoors and away from other vehicles or structures."By not fixing the root cause of the problem the harness will malfunction again which could lead to a fire inside the vehicle which is quite a safety issue. Nissan is aware of this problem but is refusing to fix the problem. Nissan Dealership had this vehicle in there possession for 5 weeks in July, 20222, into August, 2022,

Fuel gauge wasnt reading that the car was filled up. Then security lights came on in the car. Once the car was turned off, the steering wheel wouldnt lock and the car refused to start. Then random lights came on on the dashboard. You could shift the vehicle out of park and move it. The entire security system was malfunctioning. Vehicle was towed to nearest Nissan dealership in Bloomington, Indiana (where the car broke down). Nissan states it is the Body Control Module (BCM) and that they would not cover it. It is available for inspection at Community Nissan in Bloomington, Indiana. I felt our lives and the lives of others on the road could have been at risk if the vehicle decided to just shut off while we were driving, causing us to lose all power and crash into other drivers on the road.

I received notification of NHTSA recall 22V-024 in the beginning of the year. In this notification it is stated that the repair is currently being developed by Nissan to remedy your vehicle and the remedy is anticipated to be available in Spring of 2022. It is now mid-August and there is still no remedy. I asked the Nissan dealer when i brought my car in for inspection back in February and they said there was no remedy yet. Now I just called Nissan Consumer Affairs and still no remedy. Everytime I am told I will receive a letter in the mail when a remedy is available. Its been 8 months which is more than a reasonable amount of time to pass without a remedy. I have experienced some of the conditions related to this recall (drivers power window inoperative) and I am worried every time I drive my car of it catching fire. My second complaint is for a long time now my Rogue has had issues with the transmission stalling, jerking, and lagging when trying to accelerate from a stop. Come to find out I was not the only one experiencing these issues and there was a class action lawsuit for these exact issues. This past week I receive a letter from Nissan saying my warranty on the CVT has been extended to 7 years/84,000 miles. Well I just hit 88,000. I called Nissan Consumer Affairs and they inform me yea there was a delay in sending out this letter but they still wont cover any repairs since I am over the 84,000 miles. If the CVT has these known issues and there was a class action lawsuit, why hasnt there been a recall for the affected models. I am not happy that I am driving around in a car that I dont feel safe

Saturday 08/06/2022 my 2016 Nissan Rogue caught fire as I was driving down a side street in Adrian, MI. 49221. Lights came on on my dash, it appeared to be every warning light, the car jerked me over as if I lost power steering and the car took over, my son and I could smell something hot. I put the vehicle in park as flames were coming from the engine compartment, my son was able to open his door and get out, my driver side door would not open and I had to climb out the driver side window! The fire department was called and after they were able to put out the fire as I watched my car literally melting, they told me it was an electrical fire. My car was then towed to Clift Buick GMC in Adrian, Michigan.
