Traveling at 70 MPH by Clear Lake, TX, temperature in the 90's and high humidity. Suddenly, the console started to blink and beep with a warning tone, had to cross several lines as fast as possible to take the first exit available. Meanwhile, my husband started to hyperventilate and we both were shaking. It was an extremely dangerous situation. I entered a parking lot, did not turn off the car and told my husband that dying for a car was not worth it, that we were safe, but I was trembling. Now, what to do?
The event stop as suddenly as it started, we decided to push forward and try to make it home at Kingwood, TX. we did and the event did not appeared again. This was yesterday, today I took it to the dealership and they told me that the next available appointment was Friday (today is Tuesday) and they do not have any rentals available. It was suggested for me to take the car to Conroe, TX. to see id they can take it (1.5 hours away)...really?
I had planed a round trip to El Paso (1600+ miles ), TX this week, I have to cancel. I do not feel secure driving this car.
I took the car for a diagnosis to my reputable mechanic shop, they check it and told me about a service bulletin from June 2018, which explained some other instances of strange car performance but nothing on this specific occurrence.
I am without a car until Friday and after that if they do not give me a rental, until who knows when....I am sad, and angry, and worried, and frankly depressed...I don't trust Nissan.
I shouldn't got this car...but it was after I lost my vehicle during the storm Harvey and that was...intense...
