I have a 2017 Nissan Rogue which I bought in 2019. My engine just came on a couple of days ago. I took my car to the shop and advise me I am having transmission problems and if I don’t fix it asap then my car will completely shut down. I notice my car having a hard time to accelerate and when it does, the car jerks. Now the car not driving at all.

This is the 2nd Nissan car I have purchased in good faith, and both of them have had similar issues my Nissan Xterra went to many mechanics and several dealerships many times and no one was able to fix the problem. I eventually sold the car to a mechanic and he still has not figured out the issue yet. Now I own a Nissan Rogue with the CVT transmission and it recently starting stalling, jerking, and shuddering. When I called Nissan for assistance I was told the warranty had expired and I would have to bare to burden of the repairs. The lesson learned buy a Honda.

This car is a death trap. Bought the 2017 Nissan Rogue on March 15, 2021 and by the Mar 22 the SUV started jerking and stalled out in front of an 18 wheeler while my kids were in there. Took it to the shop the following Monday to be diagnosed, and they said it needs transmission. Car dealership wouldn't replace car or help get it fixed.

The shop keeps car for two weeks, then I get it back and not even two weeks later, it's doing it again. Same scenario, except this time I was almost hit by a car. Nissan needs to do a recall and stop acting like they do not see all these complaints. I'm gonna make sure to screen shot every complaint I make, so if I get in a wreck and get hurt, they'll know it was Nissan's fault.

Purchased a 2017 Rogue in December 2020 after having a 2014 rogue that had already had one transmission replaced and failed just to have another have to be replaced at 30k miles and just barely within warranty. I was told the newer model Rogues had fewer issues the transmissions etc etc so decided to give it a try again. Worst decision ever! By mid February 2021 this 2017 is showing the same signs as my previous 2014 Rogue. Took it to the Nissan dealer they hooked it up to diagnostic machine and stated it showed no codes indicating the transmission is slipping despite a service tech test driving it and admitting it was not shifting/accelerating properly. Tried to trade it in to get out from under yet another sh*t Nissan CVT a transmission and the Pensacola, FL dealership refused stating I’d have to put down $5k (coincidently also the cost of another transmission ) but they said it was because of course I’m upside down on the loan I took out. Called Nissan consumer care and filed my second claim with them for the 2017 Rogue and was told that since the dealership found no codes that I would not qualify for any buy back options. What was the dealership “fix?” “Installing” new “updates” to see if it improves anything. Do not waste you’re money on ANY Nissan CVT vehicle. They run like complete trash and Nissan isn’t fixing anything just replacing them every 30-40k miles and not being held accountable at all for their crappy business ethic. Worst choice I ever made! Nissan makes sh*t CVT transmissions on ALL models not just the sedans!

We've been having issues with front E braking system. On the way to dealer engine stayed at 3k on interstate started jerking, losing power, symptoms were sporadic, dealer said nothing wrong. Took back 4 times, eventually the trans gave out and threw code, boom. Took 2 months to get trans replaced, nissan cvt parts on back order from the problem vertic trans. The same problem is gonna happen, trans cooling is insufficient. Put in neutral while sitting in traffic for long periods of time, this is when the trans overheats
