Our 2018 Nissan Rogue aeb system is false braking when it shouldn't. the aeb false braking has almost caused multiple accidents if we didn't over power the brake system or turn it off quickly. Also the aeb system turns itself off while the car is on cruise control at freeway speeds in rain, bright sunlight, or bumpy road conditions. This also has almost caused our car to be rear ended by its abrupt slowing down. This problem has occurred multiple times over the one year we have owned this car.

I was driving my car on the sunken meadows parkway with my nephew in the back seat. There was no cars in front of me or other objects. Our of nowhere, the automatic braking system in the car went off with warning lights and the car came to a complete stop. Multiple cars behind me swerved out of the way almost causing a multi- car accident. This instance has happened multiple times before. After each incident, I went to Nissan 112 and brought my car into service. They simply fixed the sensor of the braking system under the recall. This has not been a solution. The automatic braking system continues to go off in situations where it should not which causes a hazard for myself and other people in my vehicle.

I was driving approximately 40mph on a city street straight through an intersection in which I had a green light when my Nissan Rogue alerted me my aeb was activating even though there were no other cars around me. My car suddenly slammed on the brakes, forcing it to make a grinding sound, and came to an abrupt stop in the middle of the intersection. I would like to note that when I took my car to a Nissan dealership a few days after the incident to flash the ECU (what I found online as the solution per Nissan), the Nissan dealership told me they could not correct the issue unless the Rogue was currently malfunctioning despite Nissan issuing a statement saying they had informed all their dealerships of the issue and solution. I found this extremely unsafe that the dealership was not well-informed on this safety issue. Fortunately, I contacted another Nissan dealership who was informed of the issue and will flash the ECU.

Car accelerated on it's own while parking. Jumped over the stop and crashed into a building. Automatic braking system did not stop the car and air bags did not engage. This car has been serviced for braking for no reason and a new transmission has been installed and now this. I believe this is a lemon. Love the car but to many problems. No my car insurance premiums will rise or be cancelled.

While driving my 2018 Nissan Rogue to work on a sunny Florida morning, I experienced a technical issue with my vehicle around 8:00 am est. While slowing down applying my brakes as I approached a major intersection with traffic, my Rogue suddenly accelerated on its own Accord causing me to crash into a vehicle in front of me. During the acceleration, the vehicle's onboard automated emergency braking system was sounding alarms but did not brake the vehicle. Instead it felt like the vehicle was accelerated instead. A loud grinding sound could be heard at the point of impact with the vehicle in front of me and for about a second or so afterwards. Thankfully the speed was low only resulting in minor body damage to my vehicle and no visible damage to the other vehicle. The end result was I sustained multiple back injuries - lower and neck regions simultaneously. I suspect this is due to the fact I went from slowing down to sudden acceleration and then finally to full sudden stop. Thankfully, I was the only person in my vehicle. All of this was caught on my dash camera including the sounds. The vehicle was taking to bill ray Nissan in longwood, fl which were unable to pull any diagnostic codes and have not been able to duplicate the issue. When depressing a brake to slow a vehicle down, the vehicle should not accelerate by itself. This is a significant safety issue. I will be glad to submit a copy of the dash camera footage for review. Consumer submitted video and transcript. This is an ongoing issue. The consumer stated the battery was the cause of the failure. The battery had a low voltage.

I bought the vehicle 5 months ago, when I am driving past 40 minutes it will brake for no reason even when nothing is in front of me. I took it to awesome Nissan in brunswick, ga they said they fixed the recalls. On my way home on the highway it was doing it again and I spun out but got back in control, and I called them they said to bring it back in when I did they had my car for 5 days and drove it 14 miles and called and said there was nothing wrong with my vehicle. My car will try to stop at any given time and is to dangerous to drive. I called Nissan they will not help me. This is going to be the 3rd time I take it in and this time I have to pay over $1,000 to get it repaired since I can not find anyone who will help me.

Bought this car be with 42 miles on it. About a month after I bought it the aeb system started activating and slamming the brakes when nothing was in front of me. I had never had a car with this feature before. I later got a notice to bring it in to a deal for an update before the warranty went out. The car is now out of warranty and has begun doing the same thing again. I was driving 65 on the interstate with no traffic or obstacles in front of me. The warning system went off then immediately activates the brakes slowing me down to 40 miles an hour. Thankfully the car behind me was able to react in time to swerve and miss me. I got tje one finger salute from the driver of that vehicle. It is now happening more and more frequently. I was told by dealer that since it is out of warranty I would have to pay for another update. I can't afford to pay that right now. Anyway this is a safety issue that should have been corrected when they did the first update on the aeb software. Purchases from benton Nissan in bessemer, al but have had all service performed by Sierra Nissan of sylacauga, al. But I have quit utilizing serra nissa since they put the wrong type of oil in my car and refuses to fix the problem even though they admitted to the mistake also it was printed the servive receipt as proof that they oil they uses was incorrect.

I bought a used, 1 year old, 2018 Nissan Rogue, at a Florida Honda dealership in March of 2019. Since I have owned this vehicle it has slammed on the breaks several times, while driving anywhere from 50-80 mph, for no apparent reason. Just in the last week it has slammed on the breaks 2X for no reason. Luckily no one was close to the back end of my car or they would have hit me. I do not feel safe driving this car. I have read many reports recently that this seems to be a major issue with this car yet Nissan will not do a recall on it. I will own this lemon for 6 years if nothing is done about it.

I was pulling into my garage a few days ago and the emergency brake system engaged. There was absolutely nothing in front of me when this happened. Again today, I was driving down the city road going approximately 25 mph and the car it happened again. The warning flashed, car beeped and just stopped for no reason at all. Nothing in front and thankfully no cars behind me. This is extremely dangerous and scary! thank goodness I was not in an accident due to this issue.

Abrupt automatic unwarranted braking occurred in two incidents while travelling on boulevard. Weather was clear, there were no vehicles in front (and fortunately none behind) when the automatic braking system engaged. Did not bring vehicle to complete stop but the brakes were automatically applied and abrupt slowing down of vehicle occurred. This braking system did work properly in at least two other conditions - ie driving into interior home garage. Unexpected automatic emergency braking while driving with no obvious obstacles (ie vehicles, road debris) is dangerous.
