The radio turns ON BY ITSELF if you approach your car with a remote key in your pocket. So imagine you walk out in the morning to your garage and out of a sudden the car starts playing music and you haven't even done anything to start it. Much worse thing happened to me on one of occasions. I was showing my new car to my coworker when the radio turned on by itself and started playing.
I took the car back to the dealer. I was told it's a KNOWN defect (one of the mechanics indicated she had the same problem on her Nissan car of a different model) and this defect is on many other Nissan models. To my question - "why are you selling me a car with a known defect" I was informed that the “the engineering is working on a fix". I am honestly afraid to think what kind of engineering it is if they cannot figure out how their car turns the radio ON by itself without any command by the operator...
I sure hope the car doesn't turn off by itself while driving on a highway... or even worse shifts in a reverse gear while driving at 70 mph (the gear is automatic after all and I would not want to be the first to find out). Glad they are not building airplanes... If they built airplanes they would not have been able to explain why they fly backwards and spiral out of control.
