The contact rented a 2016 Nissan Sentra with Turo. The contact stated while driving approximately 60 mph, she heard an abnormal noise before the steering wheel and brakes seized. The contact stated the air bag warning light was illuminated before. The contact stated the vehicle steered independently out of control and drove through bushes and trees. The contact stated she ended up on the opposite side of the road and with the side air bags deployed but the driver's side air bag did not deploy. The contact stated she hit her head on the windshield and was unconscious when the paramedics assisted her. The contact stated she was a bit banged and bruised up. The contact refused to seek medical attention at a hospital. The contact stated the driver's side door was unable to unlatch and needed assistance from the paramedics to exit the vehicle. A police report was filed. The vehicle was not drivable. The vehicle was towed to towing lot. The contact called the Turo call center and made them aware of the failure. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. A dealer was not contacted. The manufacturer had not been informed of the failure. The failure mileage was unknown. The VIN was not available.

THE CONTACT OWNS A 2016 NISSAN SENTRA. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE DAY AFTER PURCHASING THE VEHICLE, THE INSTRUMENT PANEL WENT BLANK AND THE VEHICLE FAILED TO START-UP AFTER MULTIPLE ATTEMPTS. THE VEHICLE EVENTUALLY STARTED AND THE CONTACT TOOK THE VEHICLE BACK TO FIVE STAR NISSAN OF WARNER ROBINS (839 WARREN DR, WARNER ROBINS, GA 31088) WHERE THE VEHICLE REMAINED IN DEALER POSSESSION FOR TWO WEEKS. THE CONTACT THEN STATED THAT UPON RETURN OF THE VEHICLE, THE POWER STEERING INTERMITTENTLY FAILED TO OPERATE AS NEEDED, WITHOUT WARNING. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN BACK TO THE DEALER WHERE THE STEERING WHEEL WAS REPLACED HOWEVER, THE FAILURE PERSISTED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE BUT OFFERED NO ASSISTANCE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 10. Consumer stated the following needs to be replaced wiring harness, steering wheel, door handles which are coming off, rear wheel hun, cabin air filter, lube oil and filter service, ABS actuator, front tire wear, key error light, at times vehicle will not start, seat belt light stays on, door rattles on driver's side, transmission replacement, air flow sensor lost calibration, and paint is flaking on rear bumpers.

The contact owns a 2016 Nissan Sentra. While driving 70 mph, the contact heard a loud whining noise coming from the vehicle. In addition, the vehicle would veer left or right off the road. The contact regained control of the vehicle and resumed driving, but the failure recurred. There were no warning indicators illuminated. The vehicle was taken to petro Nissan (located at 6248 us-98, hattiesburg, ms 39402, (601) 450-1470) where it was diagnosed that the door gasket caused the noise and it needed to be replaced. It was not determined why the vehicle veered from left to right. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failures and opened case number: 33045074. The approximate failure mileage was 48,000. The VIN was not available.
