I have had several annoying problems with this car since I purchased it - mostly just annoying but still considering what I paid for the car I shouldn't have put up with it. But the transmission going out was the last straw having been given the quote of between $2500 and $3000 to fix I said enough was enough and I purchased a new car - I'm not putting more money in this piece of crap car.

Now I'm trying to sell and of course no one is interested in purchasing once they find out the cost to repair (can't say I blame them - but I'm stuck with this car now). Doing some research it appears that later model Versa were part of a recall for this very same reason - I'm wondering if there is any such recall on the 2011 model and if so how do I go about getting this recall work done just so I can sell and get rid of this car. If anyone has any advice (and I'm not opposed to legal advice or pursing this option at this point) I'd greatly appreciate it.

I've pretty much had Nissans my entire adult life and this is the first Nissan I've had that I hated!!

first transmission failed at 50,00 miles. now at 81,000 miles the new transmission has failed. I have an extended warranty which Nissan says does not cover the repair because the "new" transmission they installed has only warranty for 12,000 miles. How can their repair make my warranty no good? They also added that i had failed to perform proper maintenance. Car has been properly maintained according to Nissan guidelines, however it was not performed at a Nissan dealership so I can't prove it. This CVT transmission is a lemon and nissan knows it. It is all over the internet how bad this transmission is .
