Xterra 4.0L V6

  • Automatic transmission
  • 135,000 miles

My A/C went out right when it started to get hot in California. I thought it might be that I just need to recharge the coolant. I recharged it because it was low and I noticed the compressor was kicking on and off every 5 seconds and it was doing nothing but blowing hot air inside, even after I charged it. I had the AC on max cool settings and fan on high. I am guessing I need to replace the compressor because it isn't acting right and I have no idea what that may cost.

I hope the problems with this thing will end soon. This is ridiculous, one thing after another! Transmission problems, window problems, drivetrain problems, a/c problems, exhaust manifold problems, and the list goes on! It's one thing after another! They should change the name Nissan Xterra to the Nissan MoneyPit!
