problem #1

Alero 3.4L

  • Automatic transmission
  • 200,000 miles

The 2000 Alero ran well ,I thought what a great deal i had found!!! I took it in for Maryland safety inspection where they go everything that you don't need to drive the car ,after brakes rotors ,windows are breaking faster than you can fix them. I have had it in 4 shops ,same story everytime ,you can spend 11- 15 on heads and wait till the bottom end blows out ,or hope it don't. Even though I have nothing foreign in the oil The current engine in the car i'm sure is over 100000. the other options is run away take 2000 loss in a few months or spend 2000 on a junk motor or rebuilt somewhere between 4-5K ,it's a nice car but only for looks!!! it will not be reliable and it's next to impossible to fix this aluminum engine ( which is why it was designed this way) Buy a foreign car ,you'll go places besides the mechanic
