How would you like to have to hold the trunk lid open by hand everytime you unlock it? That's what you have to do when an Olds Alero's torque rods fracture and break thus disabling the trunks ability to stay open. Obviously this was a poor design because this happened to my car in 05 I got it fixed for $115.00 and it did the same thing again in 08! ARRRRRGH!
