I guess it started with the ICM goin bad, or the h2o sensor going bad, I replaced both after having the codes read @ my local auto parts store. SEL light still on, engine ran better but still not right, had codes read again, said too much back preasure from catalytic converter auto shop guy says too rich gas mixture, caused gas to burn in the cat, causing the insides to melt & now it has plugged the exhaust flow thru the cat., thus the excessive back pressure.

I'm not sure if the h2o sensor caused the ICM to go bad, or if the ICM caused the h2o sensor to go bad, but excessive gas got in the cat & there goes $260 for that on to of $80 for the ICM & $65 for the h2o sensor.

my question, can I fix this without replacing the catalitic converter ?
