The Bravada was acting shifty on uneven pavement, it would lurch left or right when there were cracks in the road. So a mechanic who did the tire rotation said that the idler arm was worn to beyond the allowed spec for steering looseness. My wife was told this almost 2 years prior to making the repair. She didn't do anything about it. Then we began noticing significant tire wear on both the front and the right front tires. I finally wen the dealer and got the part for about $100. There were 3 different choices in brand / quality from the GM dealer. She paid about $200 to have it replaced, and then the vehicle needed a realignment. The unintended consequences came when the wheelhub on the passenger side began making a very loud noise at highway speeds, and ultimately had to be replaced. That is listed in a separate incident on this site.
