1999 Oldsmobile Intrigue gls. When the consumer exited the freeway, he heard a mechanical noise which resulted in power steering lost for left turning only. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where the rack and pinion was replaced. The vehicle experienced other problems such as engine stalling shortly after starting, the weather strip was deformed, a pulsating noise coming from the front end, however a road test only found tire noise, the right rear window was inoperative, the coolant light illuminated, the fuel pressure regulator was replaced, the ignition switch was replaced, the fuel filter, battery and remote were replaced. The vehicle also experienced an oil leak.

1999 Oldsmobile Intrigue. Paint peel on bottom driver and passenger doors, both sides. Contacted GM and asked that I visit the Oldsmobile dealer where I frequent. The dealer indicated that the paint peel is due to no splash guards or mud flaps. Contacted GM customer service and GM sided with the dealers assessment of the reason for the paint peel. The dealership would not even take pictures of the vehicle to send in to the GM zone administrator and would not consider doing so because the car's warranty had expired. How can the paint peel be due to no splash guards or mud flaps when the 1999 Oldsmobile Intrigue standard or optional feature do not include splash guards or mud flaps.

Car battery went dead in less than 30 days. Car stranded me several times..purchased car on Nov 20, 1998, received letter from oldmobile Dec 9,1998 advising of recall..called dealership to advise and I was advised to have car serviced locally as I didn't have to bring car back to winston salem for recall...took car locally to be repaired...car was kept for approximately 9 days, I was never offered a rental car while my car was being serviced and I had warrantiy coverage which no one seem to recognize... I took my mom to the bank in the car and the car went dead.. I had to call serviceman out to get my vehicle started.. I called flow motors and advised.. I was advised by service mgr at the time, jim benning to run the car to build battery back up... the next occassion my husband and I took car out, stopped at local run in, car went dead again... again we had to call for assistance in getting car cranked... at this point I carried car back to dealership, ,service looked at vehicle and found battery was defectiveand battery was replaced... at present I noticed a snap crackle pop under the hood on left side each time I turned my car to the left, my ant lock, brakes and trac light were coming on at will while driving on open road.. my window on driver side would stick at will and etc...I have not had a pleasant experience with the purchase of my new car which had approximately 18 miles on it when purchased.

In emergency situations horn is very hard to press because of its location which causes the horn to be inoperative. Also, there is a reflection on the dashboard which impairs the instrument panel view to the driver. When driving into the sunlight the vision impairment is a safety hazard.
