The audio control unit reaches external temperatures of 150F (130F internal) when the instrument lights are on. Cd manufacturers warn that temperatures over 120F are dangerous for cds. GM says 150F is okay and presents no fire hazard or equipment hazard. Gmcwill not respond to my letters regarding the cd mfg specifications.
