problem #3

Jul 092010

Aztek 2WD 3.2V6

  • Automatic transmission
  • 81,500 miles

The "Service Vehicle Soon" light has come on, and the high beam indicator is flickering.

This is when the headlamp selector is set to auto. When the headlights go on either at night, or if you switch them on manually..the problem disappears only to reappear in the daytime when the headlamp selector is set to auto.

Trying to find an easy/cheaper solution to fix it before taking it to dealer which I'm sure would cost quite a lot :(

My gas hand and the temp. gauge aren't working, then all of a sudden the check engine light comes on.. what the crap is going on. I'm the mother of three small kids and dread the trip to the dealership. I don't want to know what this is going to cost me.

Aztek AWD 3.2L

  • Automatic transmission
  • 67,000 miles

First off, I love my car, and have taken very good care of it... Just finished a wheel bearing/hub myself and it wasn't too bad. Did all brakes myself, very easy, and of course all of my own oil changes.

But this time, I have an electrical problem. The "Service Vehicle Soon" light has come on, and the high beam indicator is flickering, and the daytime headlights are very very dim. This is when the headlamp selector is set to auto. When the headlights go on either at night, or if you switch them on manually, only the right lamp illuminates. The left one has been replaced, I'm fairly certain it is not bad already. I despise electrical problems.

Anyone had a similar problem?
