I was in a 5-mph fender-bender and BOTH airbags deployed! I was the only person in the car at the time of the accident so the passenger airbag going off didn't make sense, but the fact they BOTH went off in such a minor incident had even the State Trooper baffled! Matter-of-fact had they NOT MaLfUnCtIoNeD at ALL my car wouldn't have a shattered windshield & passenger dashboard completely broken due to the passenger airbag deploying, I wouldn't have gotten a ticket (just exchange of information), my left arm wouldn't be banged up, I wouldn't be going to a chiropractor for my neck and back, and I wouldn't be having to constantly worry to find different ways to drop/pick-up my child or even run a quick errand. Not as easy to look for a job as is... having no permanent transportation of your own doesn't help. But all of the above is EXACTLY what I am dealing with. Why did they have to malfunction?? What's up with the '97 Pontiac Bonneville's? I've heard of other airbag incidents and then I was reading some. Those things HURT! I am in such a predicament due to this problem.
