The contact owns a 2008 Pontiac G5 equipped with Continental touring contact A/S tires, line size P195/60R15. The contact was driving approximately 65-70 mph when the driver side rear tire experienced tread separation and caused slight damage to the vehicle. The contact pulled over and installed the spare tire. The vehicle was taken to an authorized dealer who stated that they would repair the vehicle for cosmetic damage due to the separation and replace the tire. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The current and failure mileage was 27,729.
