G6

  • 110,000 miles
The contact owns a 2005 Pontiac G6. When the contact started her vehicle, the air bag light illuminated on the instrument panel, which indicated that the air bag on the passenger side had deployed. There was no occupant in the passenger seat at the time of the deployment and the vehicle had not been involved in a crash prior to the illumination. A few days later, the contact was traveling with a passenger in her vehicle. When the passenger attempted to fasten her safety belt, the belt locked and would not extend. The dealer stated that the contact would have to pay to have the vehicle diagnosed and repaired. The vehicle has not yet been repaired. The failure mileage was 110,000 and current mileage was 111,487.

My wife was involved in a accident where she rear ended another small pickup truck at approximately 35-40 mph. The air bags did not deploy in her 2005 Pontiac G-6. my insurance company, and the local police were surprised that the airbags didn't deploy. The initial injuries to my wife were some soreness to her side and back, and a bruise above her nose where her glasses hit her. Luckily her injuries were not more severe.

: the contact stated while traveling at 10-15 mph the vehicle was hit from behind causing the vehicle to hit another vehicle. There was enough damage done to the front end of the vehicle to have the fan blade and radiator replaced, however the air bags did not deploy. There was a police report taken at the scene and injuries did occur. Most of the damage was done to the rear of the vehicle. The dealer has not been notified.
