This problem is SO intermittent it's infuriating! It only happens on long road trips when you really rely on cruise control. It's never been a problem that the local dealerships can replicate so they look at you like you're on fire when you take the car in. This is a real pain when you add it to the other issues that are reported for this car.

When setting the cruise control it often will not engage, but the first time I used the cruise control it had engaged and several miles after it engaged it suddenly disengaged for no apparent reason. I did not touch any of the controls on the steering wheel or touch the brake. It has happened quite a few times since then, but at least now I know to be alert for it. The first time it happened was on the interstate in WV where the speed limit is 70, and the sudden decrease in speed was quite significant and enough to pose a dangerous situation.
