problem #1

G6 GT Sedan 3.5L V6

I bought the car brand new with 5 miles on it in April. I drive about 2000 miles a month for work, and right around the 5500 mile mark, the car stalled on me one day. It restarted fine with no dumbie lights or anything, so I didn't think much of it. As the days went on, it would stall at times, check engine light and service traction light would come on, the car would run very rough and sputter at times. I had the car checked out and of course they couldn't find the problem. After about a week, driving home from work I get the reduced engine power and the car would not go above 40mph. I pulled over and after 2 restarts the reduced engine power message went away and the car drove normal, other than the stuttering and check engine light. I take it back in and the MAF sensor was replaced under warranty. I get the car back and it was fine for 4 days, then it stalled again. It took 8 cranks to restart the car. Once it was restarted it was fine for another day. Next day, the service traction light comes back on with the check engine light. I called Onstar, again, and was told that their message shows something in the air intake system, again. On my way home the check engine light went back off. This is not what I expected from a brand new car and if it gets to be a point that they can't fix it, I won't be driving another GM again.
