Grand Prix GT 3.8L V6

  • Automatic transmission
  • 197,000 miles

I have a Pontiac Grand Prix GT all white with grey interior. I was leaving work one beautiful Friday afternoon, and there was a big POP noise, smoke, terrible smells, so I popped the hood to find nothing too out of the ordinary, except the end of my dip stick was burned to a crisp. About a week afterwards I got letter from GM saying that my car was being recalled for an underhood fire and to contact a dealer a.s.a.p. So I did, they were to fix the spark plug wire channel retainers, free of charge. For all I know they did, but what about the underhood fire, the wire channel retainer is not going to keep me safe from my car catching fire. But I took it as it was and got that repair, free of charge. Although, today, almost 4 months later I was going to visit my mother and I get there and my car is smoking terribly!!! I opened the hood, and guess what, ON FIRE!!! So my question is, What am I supposed to do about my car catching fire, let it blow up with my 4 year old daughter and myself inside??? If you have any advice or answers please respond back. Thank you
