06/10/02 Pontiac Grand Prix VIN# [xxx] was taken to mitchell Pontiac in san angelo, Texas re# action # PE01038, recall# 02V286 & GM recall # 02049. This recall involves the total replacement of the rack and pinion steering assembly. Mitchell Pontiac replaced a bearing and returned the vehicle. Subsequently, loud knocks from the affected area, total loss of head lights, air conditioning failure and other problems arose. The vehicle was then returned on 09/08/03 for repair of these problems. Mitchell Pontiac refused to rectify the situation. GM was contacted and stated that there was nothing that they could do.
