problem #2

Grand Prix GT 3.8L

  • Automatic transmission
  • 120,000 miles

Key fob wasn't working at first so I changed the battery and it does work but only in certain areas. It sucks because on the 2005 GP there isn't a key hole on the passenger side of the vehicle so I have to open my side up and open the door for my GF whenever she rides with me.

So, I just paid a professional car locksmith to come out to replace and program key fob. He said he tried programing 5 different key fobs and that it was not the key fob, it was a frequency receiver in my car that is malfunctioning. It seems to me that this model has a lot of sensor problems.
