Takata recall.... keep getting a message saying reduce engine power. Took it to a mechanic and dealer and claim they don't know. Car loses power after reduce engine power displays on vechile. Was driving on highway at 50 mph with my three children when message displayed and car shut off. Very dangerous. This has happened more than several times in and off the highway... it did it again today 2/3/2016 while just sitting at a gas station. I have kept up on all maintenance in the car. Can't seem to figure out while it's doing it. Reading online many many other GM owners have same issue.

I apologize as the date of my first incident is only approximated. However, I have had several since then. While driving in the rain, my wipers began to stall frequently and continue to do so. Then, my dash lights became I uncharacteristically dim followed by intermittent stopping of my air blower. After many trips to the car mechanic, no solutions have remedied my problem. After my own research through internet forums and a last discussion with a former GM employee, I believe the problem is with a faulty ignition switch. With a GM recall now in place for my vehicle, do I qualify to receive the repair even though my vehicle is a 2005 model? thank you much!

Every since I have had this vehicle off and on I've had this problem, I would try unlock my car door with the key and it didn't open I was at the park with my granddaughter and there was a dog chasing me and I had my granddaughter with me but I couldn't get in so I climbed on the car that's when I first found out. The second time is when I was out with some friends & the car wouldn't open with the key again! that was embarrassing so my friend took me home I had to have it towed because I didn't know the cause, later that day I tried again & it still didn't work, my remote lock stopped working for the car I've replaced the batteries had it checked even purchased another still no luck, had pay locksmiths plenty of times to the point where there were dents across the top of both my doors until I finally had the car painted, ran into the same issue again and noticed that if the car was to hot or cold from the weather this would happen, now I can't get into my car and I have and important training class that I can't miss but I don't have a choice because I can't get into my car, I've also contacted GMC I have a reference number it is [xxx] I also asked if the recall on the ignition the reason why my car does this the rep assured me that it's not & there is no recall on my vehicle at all. I recently purchased a 2005 Grand Prix (gp), I very quickly noticed that the bakes were rubbing making a loud noise when pressing the brakes in a hurry, well as a result to this it has nearly caused accidents, after taking the vehicle to the Pontiac dealer, they test drove my car and said they were rubbing and made me a appointment to return, and that's when they told me there was nothing wrong that they also drove another 2005 and it did the same so basically they all do that, I really do not think this is safe and it really needs to be investigated. Thank you in advance on this matter.
