I purchased my Pontiac 2007 Solstice this past summer "new" from paul benton Pontiac in oak ridge tn. I love my car but, ever since I have owned it has had vibration problems so bad that I have taken it back numerous times to have it looked at because the top would make a scrapping noises while driving. Well the noise comes and goes, I took my car today and had the safety recall done. They replaced the real pinion seal, they just replaced one seal. Is it just one seal or do they need to replace more because when I went to pick it up the service counter informed me that my back R/R and L/R wheels are bent. They balanced the tires but it now the vibration is worse than before they replaced the part. I am scared to drive it because the steering is loose in it, it was tight and now the wheel turns but the wheels take a while to catch up. Since I have owned this car I have had it in the service dept more than half the time. I asked the service manger if he could fix it but he said the only thing covered under the recall was the part and anything else that was wrong with it I would have to pay for it. I do not believe this is far considering I paid almost 30,000 for this car have had it less than a year and no fault of my own it is having all these problems.
