Sunfire SE 2.2L

  • Automatic transmission
  • 127,206 miles

so, i was driving into work when all the sudden my trac off light and my engine check light went on. so i did not really think anything of it until my car started jerking and rumbling. It was hard to drive because the car would only get up to 35 and rumble and jerk and would just not get up to speed due to the engine problem and the speed limit was 50 so i had a hell of a timing driving it to my mechanic. after a day repair i found out that it was my timing belt. the timing belt had came lose while i was driving. I was not happy when i found this out because i had the timing belt replaced twice before this happened, so this would be the third timing belt.

Sunfire 2.2L

  • Automatic transmission

Im a gal on that knows a thing or two about cars not spelling!! But this had me gasping for answers. I have owned my 2002 Pontiac sunfire since early 2004. This car is crap..This Morning driving to work, my car died... It all started on a hill it felt like my breaks were locked and my car was unable to move. The tac went from 2 grand to nothing and then the car staled. I tried starting it again and it started but then shut off.. The oil light was on so I got out and checked the oil It was a little on the low side but nothing bad. Im wondering if its the fuel pump or something along there. AND YES I HAD GAS in my car...

Sunfire V4

  • Automatic transmission
  • 102,000 miles

I have always admired how Pontiac starts up for me in the dead of winter- however this is my second one that I have owned- and it is the second time I have major "surgery" on it. the first Pontiac I needed a transmission transplant. This Sunfire I needed an engine transplant. Both after 100,000 miles.

------ also- steering wheel shakes is traveling over 90 mph... a sure sign to tell you that you need to slow down:)
