I have been notified that it will cost an estimated 500/plus dollars to fix a brake light that works when the rest of the lights are on (at night) but will not work in daylight hours when the remaining lights are off. My dealership had it two different days and said they were suspecting the problem was electrical. At the hourly rate the dealership charges I went to an independent Shell gas station. Their conclusion is the engine compartment fuse block (fuse relay box, under hood) is at fault. I was given an estimate of over $500.00 ! I can't be driving around town in daylight hours without a brake light.

The engineers who tout themselves as the brain children of the Big Three Automakers fell flat on their faces with this design. One suggestion for the problem is that a certain wire has come separated from it's solder connection and that wire is not accessible for repair. WHY NOT !! $500.00 for a brake light !! Not accessible for repair !! This is ridiculous !!
