1500 Outdoorsman V8

  • Automatic transmission
  • 3,200 miles

After receiving my vehicle back after two times in the shop and a complete new set of front brakes, the vehicle drifts to the right when braking at highway speeds. The vehicle goes into the other lane and is unsafe to drive. Got out of the vehicle into another 2013 that started to drift to the left and right and the left caliper locked up at only 132 miles and is completely unpredictable!! That was after the vehicle was validated to brake perfectly with a salesman in the cab!!! Took that vehicle back to the dealer and they said it is not an issue!? WTF? They first tried to tell me that its because of the crown in the road and ya ya ya haha however I am a civil engineer and I design roads? The new hydraulic brake assist put in the 2013 Ram 1500's is complete junk and dangerous, there will be many issues with this in the near future. Be safe everyone with a new dodge and think twice about having to make an emergency stop at highway speeds. The new unit changes braking pressure to the pads while you brake and it is ran by a computer! Therefore if you have fast reflexes and try to correct the braking direction, the truck will cause it to brake in the other direction.... Horrible implementation of a smart braking system. O and to mention, before I got in the truck that failed at 132 miles, a salesman and myself too a brand new 2013 with 11 miles on it out to the highway and hit the brakes at 75 and it went into the right hand median in a blink of an eye, took that one back and they did not do any work to fix it before it sold!!!???
