The contact owns a 2014 Ram 1500 equipped with an electronic tailgate lock. On several occasions, the liftgate opened independently. The vehicle was taken to mike toler Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram Fiat (located at 5340 us-70, morehead city, nc 28557, (252) 247-2003), but the dealer refused to diagnose the issue. The contact was concerned that someone could be injured by debris falling out of the truck bed. The manufacturer was contacted and notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 50,000.
