The Abs, Traction Control and Brake lights are on. None of the affected systems are working at this time. The vehicle was tested by Chrysler Ram in Peotone, Illinois. they said that the Abs control module was bad and could not be ordered at this time because it is still in product development at FCA.

This is the 4th time it's happened and also the 2nd time iv almost been killed!! I have a 2014 ram 1500 which iv grown to love. Iv have alot of issues but never complained and just took care of... yet the gauge cluster display decides to go into a party mode (strobing) and flickering or just flat out going black!!! I have bad eyes and twice now within 2 months driving at night iv gone off the road because of the flashing in my eyes! Iv found this is a common issue but the dealer told me I cannot get it fixed even though it's been recalled under other trucks! This has almost killed me! Please all I'm asking is to fix this for me... I love this truck but I'm terrified to drive it now with this issue let alone get rid of it and God for bid someone else has an accident. Please help a ram fan pile on the miles with a safe vehicle.. thank you for your time, im sorry for the long message but this is very serious and obviously a safety issue. Again, iv gone off the road and avoided a very serious incident that was caused by a faulty part. I completly understand parts going bad and having to replace them out of pocket. NOTHING SHOULD WORK FINE ONE MINUTE AND THEN ALL OF A SUDDEN START STROBBING IN ANYONES FACE. Thank you again

No accident has happened but I have had the Anti-lock brake module go bad in my truck and it has disabled cruise control, anti-lock brakes and traction control. So basically just old fashion standard braking is all that is working. Took it to the dealership and they told me the part is on hold by Ram for review by their engineers. So I called Ram directly and they said it is under review but they could expedite the part for me. I see there is a law suit pending for the 2017-2018 Ram 2500 and 2017-2018 Ram 3500 but not any other years. After doing some further research online and using an ODB reader I see that this is actually a very common issue even with my year and model. Even at the dealership when I started to explain the issue, they stopped my and told me exactly what it was and that they have seen it many times. I believe because of the number of issues being registered online and in dealerships that this should be a safety recall, especially because we are talking about braking. I will attach photos.

This whole vehicle has several recalls, looking at what the recalls stated, those are all safety issues that could occur at any moment. The engine has failed in said vehicle. The issues at hand have been confirmed by a registered mechanic. He was unable to locate any engine for this vehicle and it was taken to a dealership, in which they will not fix. Also, have been in touch with Stillantis, however, after giving them time to respond after the initial conversation, to find out they never took down our information. Another issue is they lied and said the dealership said it was fine. The problem is that was a definite lie. They did not know where or what dealership. This vehicle was made and sold to be reliable but, it is not. There are recalls and there have been class action lawsuits but, no one is willing to help with something that was not to be sold in the first place.

I filed a complaint on 7/4/2022, complaint number 11472254. Since then, I have done some research and found out that there have been MANY FAILURES OF THE ABS MODUALS on RAM trucks. I have attempted to buy a new one, but there are none. I called dealerships around the United States, and many have some in stock but can't sell them (won't sell them). And if I try and order from a local dealership, the part has a 6-month lead time. I have asked why the has not been a recall and I have been told it's not a safety issue and that traction control is a nice to have option. While looking at a new dodge Ram, I noticed that traction control and antilock brakes are listed under SAFETY (please see attached). If this is a SAFETY issue, why hasn't there been a RECALL issued?

My vehicle suddenly and dramatically accelerates when descending steep hills, without any depression of the accelerator pedal. When this happens, the engine RPM abruptly increases from around 1500 RPM to 3000 RPM or more, with a corresponding increase in vehicle speed. This typically happens in first and second gear. After I slam on the brake to reduce speed, the engine speed temporarily returns to normal (1000-1500 RPM) then the vehicle accelerates on its own again. This does not happen when descending gentle hills. This has been happening since the vehicle was brand new and is still occurring now, 6 years later. The dealer attempted to fix the problem when the car was new, but without success.

I was driving my truck down the highway at about 70 mph when a engine light came on and the truck just stopped working. It completely stalled, it was difficult to steer, but luckily I was able to pull over safely. I looked up the warning light and it said it had to do with the crank shaft sensor. The truck would not turn over and I had to have it towed. My truck has now been sitting at a Dodge dealership for 2 months and they are saying it will be another month until they might get the crankshaft sensor in needed to fix it. Here is the thing, Dodge is well aware of the problem. A problem that is so wide spread they literally do not have anymore parts to fix it. They have a recall for it for vehicles manufactured in the us with a work around until they get parts made but because my truck was manufactured in Canada they refuse to put my VIN in with the recall so they can use the work around. I have been in contact with Dodge and have gotten no where. I have another recall that has not been fixed and they say cannot be fixed until they get the crankshaft fixed. This other recall they have known about for over a year and they would tell me to take it on the highway and drive it. Now they are telling me what a fire hazard this recall is.

When I stopped the truck, I accidentally turned off the key before putting the transmission in park. I saw smoke come from under the dashboard and smelled electrical wires burning. The transmission did go into park. After that the truck started fine, the only noticeable thing is the cruise control no longer works. Fortunately no actual vehicle fire resulted from the incident. I am taking the truck in for service, the dealer had never heard of the issue, but will look into it.

Air bag light on for two months, had a tech look at it clock spring kit sensor bad, he said odd as truck is still pretty new, safety concern it controls deployment of air bag, controls horn, cruise control, and engine interface functions:or oil pressure, oil temp, tire pressure display, the fact that the spring semester can control that many safety features and fail. In less than five years is of need to investigate as repairing is only dealer part and cost is. Cost prohibited as most safety features should have a ten year lifetime at least.a refrigerator does and it runs 24/7.

While waiting at a stop light and then stepping on the accelerator the Ram went into limp mode and did not go past 15 mph. The Ram did not turn on any light to notify me of an issue. I had to forcefully take it out of limp mode therefore risking the transmission to get damaged. There was a big truck behind me making a left who thankfully noticed the Ram stopped working and patiently waited for me to move out of the way. I turned it off and turned it back on and it started working again. Seems like a recall issue on Ram as I have been reading this has happened to hundreds of people.

The truck has an exaust leak. It's on the passenger side manifold. The bolt broke for some reason and is a big common issue in these trucks. There needs to be a recall because the bolts used wasnt strong enough to with stand pressure and corrosion. My cruise control also no longer works like it should. It will go into cruise control very rarely and when it does it's hard to get it out. I have to shut the truck off most of the time to get it out of cruise control mode. The lights that luminate the press buttons in the steering wheel flicker randomly. So it tells me it must be a wiring issue of some sort. I've contacted a Dodge dealer ship and they are aware of the problem but they refuse to fix it as they say it's normal wear and tear. I'm afraid with the exaust leak the extra heat in the engine bay may result in melted wires or even worse a fire. Thank you for reviewing this problem.

The contact owns a 2014 Ram 1500. While driving approximately 60 mph and attempting to pass another vehicle in the next lane, the contact depressed the accelerator pedal. The pedal traveled to the floorboard and did not release, causing the vehicle's speed to increase to approximately 80 mph. The contact depressed the brake pedal in attempt to slow down the vehicle; however, it failed to slow down until the contact deactivated the cruise control and depressed the brake pedal. The contact pulled the vehicle over to the side of the road, placed the gear in park, and turned off the vehicle. The brake and electronic throttle failure warning indicators illuminated. The contact took the vehicle to Suburban Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram of troy (located at 1790 maplelawn dr, troy, mi 48084, 248-585-8800) where it was diagnosed that the throttle body failed and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failures and provided case number: [xxx]. the approximate failure mileage was 72,500.
