1500 Express 5.7L V8

  • Automatic transmission
  • 28,000 miles

Purchased a new 2014 Ram truck in October 2015. In September 2018 while vacuuming carpet I noticed some wetness by the driver side door. Did not think much about it as I use the truck to pull my boat to the ramp several times a week. Quit boating and carpet was still wet.

Took truck to dealership to have them find the leak. Rear sliding glass is leaking and whole assembly needs replacing for @ $640.00, using aftermarket sliding glass window. This was a OEM part installed at the factory. On the way out they said I should replace the carpet also.

Truck has 30,000 miles on it and has never been off the asphalt. In my opinion, poor workmanship manufacturing the truck and no help from the dealership. This seems the way of American business is done nowadays!

1500 Sport 5.7L V8

  • Automatic transmission
  • 1,400 miles

Had my truck back for about a week after the broken rocker arm, which took a week to diagnose and fix. The first time it rains I get in after work and notice water streaming in by the passenger side "handle". Took the vehicle to the dealership which then had to send out for removal and reinstall of windshield with better sealant.

1500 Crewcab 3.0L Ecodiesel

  • Automatic transmission
  • 6,220 miles

The vehicle began to have moisture inside of all the windows and I thought it was because I had left the left rear window slightly cracked open going through a car wash leaving residual moisture on the rear carpet. The moisture continued to persist and as I was driving today, 1/30/2016, moisture, drops of it, literally streamed from the plugs at the bottoms of both hand grips. I knew then that the moisture was not from the car wash incident with the slightly open rear window. Even though I have not had a chance to take it the dealership yet, I know the leak must be in the windshield not being completely sealed. We have been getting a lot of rain here lately and I believe the moisture came in from the front glass.

To the dealer I shall go!

Really disappointed that a truck of this price range has this issue. Truck sticker $50k+ with leaking back windows? On the way to dealer. Dealer's response was that they have already seen issue on several others. Funny salesman forgot to mention to me. Motor Trend truck of the year? I would hate to see the trucks that didn't win...bottom line Come on Dodge get you act together either lower the price or raise the quality. Love my Dodge truck but starting to lose my patience.
