1500 Tradesman Pentastar 3.6L V6

  • Automatic transmission
  • 105,890 miles

My truck is a 2015 Ram Tradesman. I bought the truck in Feb 2016 it came with a 3 year/36,000 mile warranty and a 10 year/100,000 mile warranty on the power train. My blower motor goes out on one of the hottest days this year here and I call Williamsburg Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram Kia and was told by their service techs that there was nothing they could do as I exceeded my warranty. I counter argued that the truck was less than 3 years old. They counter argued that I had exceeded the 36,000 miles on the warranty. I was like, WTF? The blower motor doesn't accrue mileage, it doesn't run on the road or spin at a certain rate depending on speed, acceleration or distance driven. I don't even use it all that much unless the temps are colder than 50° or hotter than 90°. I enjoy driving with my windows open. Was still told that I exceeded mileage on the warranty and to have a nice day. Chrysler needs to remove mileage restrictions from parts that do not wear based on mileage!
