The contact owns a 2016 Ram 1500. The contact stated that the rear driver's side door was opened and a gust of wind caused the door to swing shut. The door swung back open and struck and injured the contact's hip, which required medical attention. The contact was concerned that the hinge on the vehicle was not sturdy enough to support the door remaining open while exiting the vehicle. The manufacturer was notified of the issue. The approximate failure mileage was 3,346.
