2500 Longhorn 6.7L Cummings Diesel

  • Automatic transmission

I purchased the truck October 2014 I did not notice any shudder in the engine until a few weeks later. At first it was barely noticeable then increased. It does this from a start and subsides around 25MPH.

I took it into the dealer and they seemed to think it was in the drive line and proceeded to work on it. They replaced a rear u-joint that was warn. They told me there was still a slight shudder and that they had driven three of the same style trucks on their lot and all had the same slight shudder.

Also I was told that it was caused by the installation of an air bag system. I informed them that the problem existed prior to the install of the air bags. They informed me that their service manager said that was all they were going to do and if I had any future problems to take it back to where I purchased the truck. When I left the truck had a slight shudder then reverted back to the same problem.
