Abs and traction Control keeps going off and on showing service brake system.

My truck-??s ABS warning light goes on and off repeatedly when I am driving. When the light comes on, my cruise control is not available. My traction control also does not work. The mechanic says the ABS module needs to be replaced but the part is unavailable. I have called multiple dealers across the country and cannot find one. Apparently this is a widespread problem with this vehicle-?? We have been researching it.

When I bought the truck (in Feb 2022), the dealership had just fixed the abs module. It had 87,000 miles on it when i bought it. About a year later (Feb 2023) it started dinging and flashing the abs error again. Shuts off or prevents cruise control from working, constantly dings and flashes the error while driving. Dodge said the part is on backorder and I'm waiting for them to be able to get it in to fix it...

Traction control/ ABS light consistently chiming on and off. Took to local dealer where I bought the truck from, diagnosed a bad ABS hydraulic control unit. They can-??t get the part due to the amount of these rams needing this part replaced. Multiple forums of Rams stating the exact same thing, could be dangerous to drive if you are counting on your ABS to work properly in an emergency.

I have dash lights going on and off for the ABS and traction control. This is very intermitted. On two occasions I have experienced times where I had to slam on the brakes to avoid an accident. Both times the ABS failed to work causing me to come to near collision with another vehicle. One of the times this caused me to go off into a ditch. This was with slick roads and snow covered in areas. Have also had several times the truck would steer out of control with no traction aid. I am constantly losing speed control using cruise control. It will work for a bit and then turn off when the ABS and traction control lights come on.

The vehicle randomly goes into 4WD without the user turning the knob to request 4WD. If this happens at high speed it will cause severe damage to the vehicle drive train. Makes steering extreemly difficult on pavement. 1. Service 4WD lamp illuminates. 2. Reduced speed and exited highway. 3. Steered vehicle to off ramp. Upon steering left vehicle entered 4WD without user request making steering very difficult. Vehicle would not return to 2WD unless user shut down vehicle, turn knob to 4WD then back to 2WD. Investigated by certified RAM technician at a dealership on 5/11/2]22 who could not find the issue. The dealership cleared the truck for ordinary use. Currently the vehicle status is service 4WD light is on and it will not shift to 4WD or 2WD. 2 incidents one in 1 June 2021 2 September 2022

Today while driving the vehicle, the ABS light came on and other lights followed. The vehicle began to loose power. Pulled in the driveway and the vehicle was trying to catch on fire. There was smoke coming from the hood and the front passenger tire was what appeared to be melted/ bent away from the truck. I was able to spray water on the truck engine and stop the smoke and heat. Once I was certain the truck was not burning, I contacted the local chief of police and met with him to make a report. I had the vehicle for about a month. I had just replaced my 2014 dodge diesel that ignited during the night on March 22,2022. After an extensive fire investigation from the insurance department was undetermined of the cause. The insurance company reached out to Dodge which insisted there have been no problems. That vehicle had been parked for 10 hours. I have researched the multiple incidents involving 2013-2021 dodge diesels which consist of parked vehicles and vehicles being driven that have ignited. This can not be a coincidence that I have had 2 dodge diesel 2500 trucks that have this happen in a matter of 2-3 months. I am now left to report another fire claim on my insurance. I need answers and Dodge should be looking into these incidents. I contacted dodge direct when this happened today and they took my information and said it would be forwarded to -€œTamara-€ to investigate and of no surprise, no return call. I have spent a lot of time and money on now 2 diesels. Both vehicles were well maintained and this should not happen. I was at least able to detach the trailer this time, get the horses to safety, and remove my personal belongings. The previous incident burned a new Easley Gooseneck trailer and all my belongings, which weren-€™t covered my insurance.These incidents should be investigated before there is a serious injury or even worse a death.I am attaching pictures from both incidents.

The contact owned a 2017 Ram 2500. While driving 30 mph around a corner and down a mountain, the wheels of the vehicle struck a rock and the vehicle crashed into a ditch. The air bags deployed. The contact sustained head, neck, and knee injuries that required medical attention (mri). The contact's daughter sustained a neck injury and scratches, which required medical attention. Three other children were in the vehicle who sustained injuries and required medical attention. A police report was filed. The contact's insurance company towed the vehicle and deemed it totaled. The contact called stuteville Chrysler Dodge (3001 N broadway St, poteau, ok 74953, (918) 647-3183), but no assistance was provided. The dealer asked the contact to buy another vehicle. The contact's insurance company contacted the manufacturer. The manufacturer advised the contact to file a complaint. The failure mileage was 40,845.

A loud noise from under and right side of the vehicle is generated when shifting from low to high gear. When in high traffic, turning right and left, and hauling mode. The noise generated sound coming from the transmission or within the underside as the vehicle shifts. Have made visual inspection with no evidence of rubbing or lose cable, tire to finder, or lose shaft wear.

Rear rail gate opens while vehicle is in motion. 3rd time I have had truck into dealer for this. They tell me there is a recall for this and no parts are available so they can't fix it.

At speeds ranging from 65-75mph while on any hwy or interstate there is a slight vibration in the floor board. I purchased 4 michelen defender ltx ms tires because the dealer told me my tires were out of round. After I picked it up, it still did it. My truck occasionaly tells me 4 wheel drive shift in progress while I'm driving. The dealer in port aurthor did an alignment and inspected the suspension but came up with no solution.

Tailgate lock actuator defect. Tailgate falls randomly while truck in motion when vehicle locks doors once in motion automatically. The actuator over rotates and unlocks tailgate allowing it to drop. Also when using key fob to lock doors actuator over rotates causing tailgate unlock and allows it to fall.

Takata recall 2017 Ram 2500 trans temp getting to high at normal driving conds was told from people who experienced this the exhaust is to close to the trans without a deflector

Truck has major vibration between 60 to 80 mph. Dealer has attempted to fix 3 times with 2 tire rebalancing and 1 load force rebalance. None have impacted vibration. Now vibration is worse and is impacting drivability. Complaint ticket is in with fca # 32159244. Dealer has entered star ticket 8/24/17. Truck current melange is 3223, and was just purchased in June 2017.
