At 26k miles, the front tires outer edge showed cords while the rest of the tire was in great shape. The edge of the tires were wearing very fast. Took to the dealership for a front end alignment and it was within Chrysler specs. Dealer stated something is still wrong with the front. I generated a case # through Chrysler. After a month of talking with Chrysler corporate, they decided to install an off-set ball joint in the right side. I purchased a new set of 80,000 mile tires for the front and was told to put miles on and see how the repair did.

25,000 miles later the outside of the front tires is still wearing out to fast. I generated a new case number through Chrysler to have issue checked out again. The alignment was tight and with in spec. Chrysler said case closed there is nothing they can do. I requested an additional offset ball joint might remedy the issue but they refuse. Marsha was assigned as my case manager, was absolutely no help. Chrysler needs to fix this issue with the Ram front end. Engineering has a design flaw and refuses to recognize. The alignment specs are way to broad as published by ram to cover this up. Camber spec = -.4 to +.9, caster = 3.9 to 5.2 left 4.2 to 5.5 right. With a 1/2 degree ball joint installed there is still outer tire wear. (Moog k100057)
