On January 21, 2020 at 1400 on Highway 29 in Virginia 30 miles outside of Charlottesville, VA, the driver side rear inside tire tread separated and blew out while heading up a mountain pulling a 3 horse living quarters trailer, which caused damage to the underside of the bed where the splash guard attaches. The truck purchased brand new and came with Nexxan Roadian LT235/80R17 10 Ply tires. The speed up the mountain was 45 miles per hour, but I had to manage getting over to the turn lane and parking on an incline in order to get the tire changed. While the tire was being changed, the roadside assistance towing company informed us the outside tire on the same side was also getting ready to blow out and we needed to get it changed out.
