Saw online shows there a recall on the transmission on model 2014-2015. My van has the same issue on the transmission. Its defendtly qualify. But base on my VIN number its not qualify. Still park infront of my house, something is gone wrong. Checked with a mechanic. They mentioned that there should be a recall on my van. NHTSA campaign number is 16V529000.

The contact owns a 2015 Ram Promaster 2500. Upon starting the vehicle, it made an abnormal noise and failed to start. The vehicle was towed to carson Dodge Chrysler Jeep Ram (3059 S carson St, carson city, nv 89701) and was repaired. Afterwards, the dealer test drove the vehicle and discovered another unknown defect. After the part for the defect arrived and the vehicle was test driven again, another unknown part failed on the vehicle. The manufacturer was not notified of the failures. The vehicle had not been repaired. The failure mileage was 86,423.

2015 Ram promaster diesel 2500 with 72000 miles. Vehicle was in excellent condition, well maintained, with oil changes per factory recommendations. While driving at highway speeds of 70 -75 mph, without warning there was a sudden and hard thud in the engine compartment and the vehicle began slowing very rapidly, as if brakes were being applied. I immediately pulled over to the side of the road. As the vehicle slowed and came to a stop, there was significant smoke and steam rising from the engine compartment. I was concerned that the vehicle was on fire, but it was not. It smelled of burnt radiator fluid and burnt clutch plates. The vehicle was towed to the nearest dealership and the tow operator had difficulty loading and unloading the vehicle since the engine and transmission were completely locked up and the drivetrain wheels would not turn. The vehicle is currently being repaired under 100,000 mile powertrain warrantee. Luckily no was was injured and there was no other damages except to the powertrain.

Loss of power/ acceleration more than 10 times in 2 days. Resulting in having to come to a complete stop in the middle of the highway, unable to pull over to the shoulder. The vehicle seems to have constant issues when the weather is cold. The vehicle is currently in the repair facility for these current issues.

Complaint numbers: 10967663, 10967668, 10967666 and 10967670, were all filed less than 24 hours ago. Attached is more supporting documentation on the "7" zenith drivetrain failures and lack of support from zenith despite our request for service and being under warranty. We have had to purchase other conventional fuel shuttles in order to run our operation.

The coupler between the motor and the transmission has repeatedly failed; also, the A/C continually leaks as the high pressure hose from condensor to compressor is too short. Attached is the purchase invoices from the most recent two zenith shuttles and other supporting documents on the zenith drivetrain issues which are also supported in the other two filed complaints of #: 10967663, 66 and 68 zenith has refused to give us support. We are a commercial operator with courtesy passenger shuttles for movement of people to and from our parking lot and to the san diego airport. We are a ground transportation off airport parking operator. The shuttles have broken down to and from base during operation, the route is 9 miles round trip. We average 150 miles per day in a shuttle. We are in street traffic with stop lights and high congestion due to the roadways at the airport have high use. We operate 24/7 and have been in business since 1991 and we have never had broken drivetrains or axles in our shuttles. We have videos of the floppy coupler that demonstrates the ongoing issues of this part and the impact that a floppy coupler has on the splines of the motor and gear box. The video files are too big to upload. This complaint will be 3 of 3 as we have 3 shuttles by zenith that were all purchased in 2015. Here is a video link from zenith on May 5, 2016 on the coupler: Https://www.dropbox.com/S/1ktuvg1Q7whfnu1/old_vs_new_coupler%20video%20by%20zenith%205-2016.mov?dl=0 link permissions for 'old_vs_new_coupler video by zenith 5-2016.mov'

The coupler between the motor and the transmission has repeatedly failed; also, the axle has failed twice, the last axle failure the shaft split in half and part of it ended up in the gear box. The A/C continually leaks as the high pressure hose from condensor to compressor is too short. The attached is a lawsuit that zenith filed in June 2016 over it's repeated drive train failures, alleging borg warner at fault. Attached is a depiction of the zenith portal that was established to communicate and track service tickets on repairs; however, on August 10, 2016 zenith denied us any further access to the portal. Zenith has refused to give us support. We are a commercial operator with courtesy passenger shuttles for movement of people to and from our parking lot and to the san diego airport.
