SC2 1.9L Dohc I4

  • Manual transmission
  • 110,000 miles

whenever it rains more than a light drizzle, or the car is washed, a small, constant drip of water comes in and drips right on both driver and passenger seats. Very annoying to sit down on a wet seat or get continuously dripped on while driving.

I have owned my 93 SC2 for many years with few problems, and I write this more as a helpful hint for others. The metal ring around the sunroof edge can be caulked with clear silicone (indoor/outdoor) caulk to stop the sunroof ring leaks. The interior roof of my car was getting soaked, but I couldn't replace the sunroof for $1,000. The caulk has now lasted more than 2 years! I know many others have this problem. Caulk is an easy fix.
