problem #2

SL1 Sohc

  • Manual transmission
  • 125,000 miles

car would run rough, stall, backfire. tried to overheat waiting in line at a drive-through. Saturn has a revision part for this that is all metal now. old part had a plastic nose and leaked, destroying the sensor. quick, 10 minute repair.

(reported on)

SL1 1.9L SOHC

  • Manual transmission
  • 150,000 miles

My '92 SL1 starts up and runs about 3 miles and then stalls out takes anywhere between 5minutes and 1/2 hour to restart, changed fuel filter and one ignition coil that seemed bad. Still have power when car stalls, I don't believe that the battery is the problem. My #2 spark plug wire connector on the ignition coil that I replaced was corroded. Haven't changed wires yet. REALLY need help
