This piece of crap piece came off because barely pulling on it will break the TWO flimsy plastic pieces holding it on. I can no longer open my trunk because this piece falls off every time. I tried using sturdy welding putty to keep it in place temporarily but to no avail. I fell off again when I hit a bump and scrapes the paint on my car as it bounces. It is only hanging on by the wire it is attached to. Looking into this, this is a VERY common complaint and should at least be covered by warranty if not RECALLED (I have a platinum warranty which I was told does not cover this because the trunk can still be opened... which it CANNOT). Use a sturdier material for something that is going to be used/pulled-on quite often. I am very disappointed, frustrated, and out another $300.
