The contact owns a 2003 Subaru Baja. The contact stated that while turning at 2 mph, a noise was heard coming from the rear passenger side. The vehicle was maneuvered to the shoulder and the contact smelled a burning odor. Upon examining the vehicle, the contact also noticed that the rear passenger tire was rubbing onto the wheel well and melting. The vehicle was then towed to a private mechanic and the contact was informed that the rear suspension rusted away from the sub frame. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure and current mileages were 141,000.
