How many Subaru 2012 Forester owners are noticing electrical problems with their registers (temperature, gas, clock), hot CDs if you play them, loud humming coming from the electrical near the steering column, internal lights that turn on and won't turn off? How many of you have tried to get the Subaru service center to look at the issues and were blown off? I have had such issues, and ultimately led me to contacting a third party for diagnostics because the GM at Subaru Capitol in San Jose, CA told me that to do this, as he would have to CHARGE me if they couldn't find anything.

This has been an issue from the beginning, and Subaru Santa Cruz, Mark Schultz and his service writers kept blowing me off, Schultz finally said they needed to replace the battery (after only 1 year of ownership - it was a new purchase). The problem still existed and I engaged Deloria Marshall at corporate who then began playing non-stop games to avoid dealing with the issues. The THIRD PARTY MECHANIC, 35 years ASE certified, discovered several DIODES placed on the circuit board that controls this part of the system, THIS WAS AN IMMEDIATE RECOMMENDATION to take the 2012 Forester to the California Bureau of Automotive. Subaru had to have known about the issues at either QA or before, as these CHINA made parts had the DIODES. If the relay system is not working properly, this is a patch. The problem is when voltage issues are continuing (as this is the case for these parts), the electrical system will have other trickle down issues. SERVICE RELATED AND PREVENTABLE, IF THE MANUFACTURER HAD DONE THEIR JOB. WE'RE THE CUSTOMERS BEING SET UP FOR THIS ABUSE???

I am launching an investigation along with many emails and photos of the registers being off (severely off). The ultimate in your face stand off was when the service writer at Subaru Santa Cruz told me the temperature gauge was 'SPOT ON" even with a 15 degree variance that day. It never moved when the temps rose. That was the day corporate was contacted after I returned to the dealership to prove he was full of sh*t. SINCE THEN, SUBARU HAS MADE OF POINT OF AVOIDING ANY ACCOUNTABILITY FOR THIS DESIGN FLAW. Please respond if you have noticed similar problems. We, the customers, are not at fault, and I was treated like SH*T for having stood my ground. TO DATE, after being told the temperature gauge "has a range" for accuracy, Subaru corporate and the dealership service departments HAVE REFUSED TO DEFINE THIS 'RANGE'.
