Forester Limited 4 cyl

  • Automatic transmission
  • 9,500 miles

We have been the proud owners of four Subarus. We currently own a 2010 Outback and a new 2015 Forester. We love the ride the Forester provides and have driven it on some long trips and found it to be responsive and extremely comfortable.

I'm writing this to voice a complaint related to our new Forester. I have noticed whenever we drive the Forester in bad weather such as snow, sleet, salted roads and lots of spray from following other vehicles and trucks on the highway, the engine compartment gets sprayed with whatever is on the roads and practically all engine compartment equipment gets this overspray. It's under the hood, on the intakes, the battery as well as on the the firewall. Knowing there is a shield under the front of the car, I imagine this vehicle overspray is coming in from the front through the plastic grill.

I welcome your suggestions as to how to correct this defect. Might there be a piece or a shield missing that I'm not aware of?

I look forward to resolving this issue and continuing our relations with Subaru vehicles.
